Quick Guest rules
[o1] Please remember that you must register to be able to apply for any character on this forum.
[o2] If you are confused or concerned about something regarding the content on the forum, please just give me or anything other staff member a message in the Chatbox, which is at the bottom of the forum, we would all be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
Signing up/Accounts
[o1] When you register, please use the name of your desired character for your username, if you do not have one at that moment please change it once you make a decision.
YOU MUST CREATE SEPARATE ACCOUNT FOR EACH OF YOUR CHARACTERS. YOU CAN NOT IN ANYWAY HAVE ONE ACCOUNT WITH LOADS OF CHARACTERS.
Reason: This confuses staff and it is hard for us to give your character the position color they need. Please notice that each character is either a Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, or a Senior and when you use one account to post loads of applications for characters or even a staff member on THAT ONE account, we cannot give you a position!
ONLY STAFF are allowed to have multiple characters on their account for they have no specific ranking color, rather, they have their own position (Co-admin, Moderator, etc).
AND when you have your new account, please make sure you use their FULL NAME and ONLY THEIR NAME as the username just to make things pretty and all that Jazz.
[o2] DO NOT apply for a canon character. If you ask to be ANY CHARACTER from Twilight or Naruto, or hell even the X-men you will simply be ignored.
[o3] You must be registered to be able to post on this forum. The advertisement board is the only board which are guest friendly and allow you to post information.
[o4] Please RESIZE your avatars, do not simply copy and paste the url. Avatars are allowed to be 100x100 max, because if the avatar is too large, it can shove the entire forum to the side when pages are being viewed, this is quite a pain for people with semi-OCD.
[o5] Please don’t have obnoxiously large Signatures. Use your common sense, please.
General
[o1] Respect all members and staff. Don't say anything you wouldn't want said to you. If you are having a conflict with another member…WORK IT OUT LIKE CIVILIZED PEOPLE, YOU ARE NOT FIVE YEAR OLDS!!
[o2] Don't spam or flame anyone. Spamming is posting a pointless, annoying, obnoxious, uninteresting, irritating, stupid message several times, and flaming is harassing or annoying someone with a rude message. Spam and you get a warning, flame and you’ll be suspended.
[o3] This is an intermediate-advanced site. Our minimum word count per post is three, well-written, 5-6 sentenced paragraphs - not that much right? However, though we will accept two paragraphs if you're having a hard day or there isn't much to write about, we focus more on the quality of posts than the length. If you can write twenty pages for a post, that's just peachy-keen ain't it? If you can capture the mood of the scene and get every important detail in perfectly with 3 paragraphs, that’s pretty damn awesome. However, if you try your best that deserves a B+ at least.
[o4] A paragraph is FIVE to SIX sentences. We do expect decent size paragraphs. To prove you read the rules please put the word "doodle" at the end of your profile.
[o5] Please! Never use chatspeak. - Don't use it IC, OOC, or on the cbox. Things like lol or brb are perfectly acceptable but don’t overdo it or you will be warned!
[o6] Stay active, please. We understand if you can't be on every day, but at least try to keep up on all your threads. No one wants this forum dying a premature death…cuz premature death is sad...and you don't want to make everyone sad right...?
[o7] Power playing is not allowed. Taking control over someone else's character, actions, etc. is not allowed. Neither is auto-hitting, which means saying you did hit the other person's character or saying you caused an injury. Godmoding isn't allowed either, meaning dodging every attack or winning every fight, because sadly you are not super kung-fu action Jesus.
[o8] If you do get in trouble, don't say you didn't know. That would only show that you didn't read the rules, which would get you in even more trouble. Just admit to what you did and save your dignity and your digital breath.
[o9] Don't swear at members. You can swear OOC. Your characters can say anything they want IC. Just don't use offensive words directly to another member in OOC. Now that's a pretty simple rule right?!
[10] If your characters are enemies, it does not mean you are. Again…YOU ARE NOT FIVE! Okay…just wanted to get that across.
[11] I’m not censoring anything on this forum. HOPEFULLY WE ARE ALL MATURE HERE AND CAN DEAL WITH THE THOUGHT OF SOMEONE HACKING SOMEONE IN THE HEAD WITH A HATCHET AS THE BLOOD CASCADES LIKE WATERFALLS DOWN THE SIDE OF HIS FACE AND ONTO THE DARK PAVEMENT BELOW. If you or a staff member however, believes that it is too R-rated please move it over to PMs please. AGAIN YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
[12] Also, please tag your threads. If you don't have a specific person you want to RP with, then just put [Open], because some us know just how awkward it is to have to kick someone out of an RP because they crashed the party…well thread. So…if you’re not invited, don’t crash the thread…please.
[13] Any RP threads that have not been posted in for over a month shall be archived, if the participants wish to continue the thread, PM a Staff Member, they’ll put it back into the respective board.
[14] No Post Claiming. You cannot claim a spot in a thread with 'I will post later, no one post yet!' as other people may have more time and be able to post before you. Sorry, but that’s a big fat NO, if you miss it, you miss it, deal with it and just post afterward.
